Why hire me?
I would LOVE to create a custom piece of art that highlights your business and your vision. While most artists pride themselves in having a unique style, I have never seemed to find that niche that I belong in. I have finally realized, it is because what I enjoy above all else is creating a piece of art with your vision in mind. Whether that is a childlike rainbow in your kids room, realistic fruits surrounding your logo, or a bold and fierce design for your school, I have done it all. I don’t have a specific artistic style because I enjoy painting in the exact style that you desire for your business. Lets create something completely custom and one-of-a-kind, for YOU!
About Syd
Hey! My name is Sydney Rae Dunmore:) Here’s a snippet about me, outside of the business world.
In August 2024, I married my best friend! Most people know me as Sydney Brening, but I am proud to officially be a Dunmore!
We met at Del Oro High School and started dating our senior year. We both have deep roots in the community, our parents each attended Del Oro as well.
I enjoy hanging out with my incredible group of friends, playing pickleball, chatting over an iced oat milk latte, or traveling! I am a huge beach gal.
I am an avid swiftie, you can catch me listening to Taylor Swift on almost any job site. If its not Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan, or Zach Bryan, I am listening to podcasts about life and business. I like things that make my brain work.
Above all else, I am a believer in Christ, and thank God that I get to live this amazing life, doing what I love every day. I am surrounded by amazing people, and I could not be more thankful.
How Art Made by Sydney Rae was born
As a kid, I always was drawn to creating. I loved finger-painting, “how to draw” books, and for a while I told people I wanted to grow up to become a famous artist. Because in my brain, that was the only way that artists could make money - to be super famous.
Throughout my life, and into high school, my dream faded and I had other aspirations to become an elementary school teacher. I thought that was the only career choice I could make where I could be creative everyday. I maintained my hobby of creating art, by completing multiple ceramics, painting, and drawing classes at Del Oro. I even painted my first mural on the tennis ball wall at Del Oro my senior year. (Little did I know….)
In 2020, I graduated and started my education to become a teacher. A year in, on January 20th 2021, I created @artmadebysydneyrae. I called it my virtual portfolio, and posted my artwork that I created for my art class at Sierra. People became interested in my work, and my eyes were opened into believing that this could actually be a form of income for me. In two years, my ‘virtual portfolio’ grew into a full blown business, eventually surpassing the income I made at my part time job. I got my AA in 2023, and decided not to continue my studies to become a teacher. Ultimately, I just realized that my desire to paint was greater than to teach.
In May 2024, I ended my last year of teaching elementary art, and went full time in my mural business. And things are only getting better!
